Surf’s up, stand up and ride the waves.
This is the event page for Stand Up for the Cure, an annual water sport and fundraising event to raise awareness and campaign for the treatment and medication of breast cancer patients. Our organization aims to raise funds to help cure breast cancer patients and fund research to end this disease.
This year, we will be having a Stand Up Paddling Event which will be held on the waters of Newport Beach, California. We have partnered with Susan G. Komen Foundation who spearheads breast cancer research in the country and is instrumental in giving a voice to all the breast cancer patients and their families in their quest for quality healthcare and finally ending breast cancer forever. Each mammogram costs $125 so the more funds we raise, the more breast cancer patients can avail of this service and if ever there is an excess, we will direct the funds to medical research. The goal is to help as many patients as possible so that they can receive adequate healthcare.
Prior to the event, we have a series of programs and fundraising activities to further support our cause. Browse our website to see where the auctions, rummage sales, marathons, races, and other fun fundraising activities are. These are held in various states to make sure that we bring our message to a wider community and get the support of more people. These programs and activities are not just for people, you can also bring your pets too! People of all ages are welcome to join us. We do our best to make our programs family-centered and pet-friendly as these are the cornerstones of support for our breast cancer patients. For those who cannot join our event and programs, you can still show your support by donating funds.
For the actual Stand Up for the Cure event, we will be having lots of activities and surprises for the participants. All joiners of the Stand Up Paddling Event will get an exclusive and limited edition jersey designed by the fabulous Victory Koredry. Participants can bring their own surfboards or buy the Stand Up for the Cure Limited Edition Rivera Boards on site. These surfboards are guaranteed to be made of high-quality materials suited for touring and surfing. What’s more is that a portion of the sales will be donated to our cause.
We have collaborated with artists and performers to sing the event’s theme song, Stand Up. Often times we start out in our garage, lol this one time our garage door opener broke and we had to call a Las Vegas garage door repair company to get the garage door opened so we could get our equipment out

Stand Up for the Cure has received numerous awards and citations for the work that we do for our breast cancer patients. Just last year, we won the Top Volunteer Award from the Orange County Affiliate of Susan G. Komen and Top Philanthropic Effort. This year, we are honored to have the Living Java, Ruth’s Chris Steak House, and Riviera Paddle Surf as our sponsors for the event.
